At Value Homes we can show you your home in 3D before you sign your contract. If you can’t find a design from our comprehensive range to suit your needs, we will create one with you. All our homes have been meticulously designed with liveability, practicality and our tropical environment in mind.

About the builder
Value Homes has been operating locally for 30 years. The award-winning company was opened in 1992 by builder Ralf Dutton. He was born in Cairns, and gained his open building licence in 1986, followed by his Real Estate Agents Licence in 1992.
Dutton has an extensive range of experience in the building industry, starting as a Trainee Draftsman in 1969 for 6 years. From there he became a Contract Draftsman for a further 4 years before managing a local building company from 1980 until 1992 when he launched Value Homes.
30 years later, Value Homes is a successful building company, responsible for project homes all over Cairns and in further regions. A growing team of people hold various roles and responsibilities, all working together to make the dreams of people a reality.
Ralf Dutton has had an extensive range of experience that has helped to shape Value Homes as the company it is today. In 1976, he was living in post cyclone Tracy in damaged Darwin and working on the rebuilding efforts. He has represented the building industry at both a local state and national level, continuing to do so today.

Luke McLean
Luke’s range of knowledge comes from 12 years of experience in Home Improvement and Account Management. Growing up in Sydney, Luke moved up North when he was 24 and ran his own business with his partner; he then later pursued a career in the Home Improvement industry.
Having recently built his own home, Luke has experienced the ins and outs of all aspects in design and construction. He has always had a passion for modern architecture and design. Luke can guide you through all areas of interior design to suit your needs, to ensure your new house feels like a home.
